History

Asahara-yakata was the fortified residence of the Asahara Clan. The Asahara Clan was descended from the Seiwa-Minamoto Clan, and related to the Kai-Takeda Clan via the Nako Clan. It may also be related to the Shinano-Ogasawara Clan and the Gomi Clan.

Nought but a stone memorial tablet remains of this fortified manor hall, Asahara-yakata.
