| Description | The town at the base of the mountain was a well developed post town and had many lodgings for traveller along the important Zenkoji Highway between Zenkoji (Nagano City) and Matsumoto. Today you can still some some old buildings, but most of them are in terrible disrepair or have already been rebuilt to modern homes. |
