| Description | As soon as you start climbing, the path gets very steep. There are many places with slippery and poor footing. Wear good walking shoes and take your time. It takes about an hour to climb to the honmaru. If you have a trekking pole or walking stick I highly recommend taking it along. Even if you make it up the mountain OK, your footing is less stable coming back down. |
