| Description | Shinkoro Clock Tower, the famous symbol of Izushi. The tower itself is not actually related to the castle. It was built on the castle stone wall in 1871 and is the oldest such clock tower in Japan. In the Edo Period it is likely that some kind of yagura stood here as a watch tower. |
