Sarashina Inariyama Castle
Inariyama Castle was a hirajiro (flatland castle) built by Uesugi Kagekatsu in 1581. In area the castle-compound was 155m east to west, and 170m north to south. Essentially a fortified residence for Kagekatsu, Inariyamajō also possessed a yaguradai (turret platform). Nothing remains.
There are no ruins here at the former site of Inariyama Castle, and only a commemorative stone marker stands in a patch of grass. Merrily there is also an information board.
