History
Iida-yashiki was the fortified compound of the Iida Clan of Kai. Not much is known about the clan, but they are believed to have descended from Henmi Sadanaga. Samurai who served Takeda Shingen called Iida include Iida Yasaburo and Iida Toraharu, and so one or both of these may have been lords of or lived at the yashiki. One Iida Shingowemon served Takeda Katsuyori as a subordinate of Saegusa Heiwēmon. The yashiki was square in layout with a length of about 60m on each side.
