Kyōraishiminbu-yashiki was the fortified residence of the Kyōraishi Clan, members of the Mukawa-shū who served Takeda Shingen as elite warriors. Baba Nobuhara took over the clan and relocated the residence to the south (see Kai Baba Yashiki). Kyōraishiminbu-yashiki may have also served as the kyokan (residential area) of Torihara-toride, a fort on the mountain to the east.
Kyōraishiminbu-yakata / Kyōraishiminbu-yashiki, also known as the Torihara-yashiki, is a medieval fortified residence site with earthworks ruins such as karabori (dry moats). The site is now a park and fields, but the grass was quite tall when I visited. To the rear of the site is steep terrain, and to the south a karabori cuts into the terrain.
