History
Nakajima Fort was built along with Tange Fort and Zenshoji Fort to control the supply lines into Narumi Castle before the Battle of Okehazama. IN particular Nakajima Fort is at the confluence of two rivers to control the water routes. Oda Nobunaga passed though Nakajima fort after leaving Zenshoji Fort on his way to the battle.
Visit Notes
Nakajima Fort was one of the forts built to enclose Narumi Castle. Today, it has been completely developed over but a stone pillar marking the site of the fort is located in a private garden. We appreciate the owners letting people in to take photos of the pillar.
