Odoi - Odoi Kitano Tenmangu

北野天満宮の御土居

One of the longest and most well preserved sections of the Odoi can be found at Kitano Tenmangu. This segment has some features not seen elsewhere including the original river running alongside it like a moat, a short stone wall at the base and drainage through the wall. This section also has some great explanatory signs. Unfortunately, it is only open for a couple weeks in the autumn and spring. During this time you can see great fall colors or early spring green leaves.
