Takatori Castle - Yoshinoguchi

The Yoshinoguchi is an area that I don't see many photos of but it has some of the most exciting stonework at the castle. The large climbing stone wall (nobori ishigaki) is the most unique stone wall I've seen at any mountaintop castle ruins. Unfortunately, there are some old trees growing on it and I fear for how much longer it will last. Along the trail east and away from the castle you will also find another horikiri trench with some stonework and beyond that a bailey ringed with a well preserved embankment. I think there are even more ruins farther out from here but I need to take some more time to explore.
