Tanaka Tajimanokami Yashiki
From Jcastle.info
History
Tanaka-Tajimanokami-yashiki was the residence of Tanaka Hiroyasu, a Tanaka Clan member with the honourific title 'Protector of Tajima (Province)'. Tanaka Hiroyasu established the temple Kōtain which shares the zodiographs for his name, 広泰. This temple still stands although it is now abandoned. No ruins of the residence remain.
See Tanaka Yazouyaemon Yashiki for more information on the Kai-Tanaka.
Visit Notes
The site of Tanaka-Tajimanokami-yashiki is now that of Kōtain, a temple, and a Suwa shrine, but no ruins of the yashiki (residence) remain. The temple hall, now unattended, I found nonetheless quite picturesque, although its abandonment tinges the bucolic atmosphere with morbidity.
