History
Biwajō was built in the early 15th century by Kurashina Nobuhiro. Nobuhiro was an illegitimate sire of Takeda Nobumitsu. The castle was essentially just a fortified residence.
Visit Notes
No ruins remain of Biwajō, situated on a ‘tongue-shaped’ plateau, and the site is now agricultural land, mostly orchards.
