Kyouraishi Yashiki
From Jcastle.info
History
Kyōraishi-yashiki was a fortified residence of the Kyōraishi Clan, members of the Mukawa-shū who served Takeda Shingen as elite warriors. It likely predates the later Kyōraishiminbu-yashiki (Kyouraishiminbu Yakata), being located at the core of Kyōraishi territory in Hakushū. Local tradition holds that this is the residence where Baba Nobuharu, the famous Takeda general, was born. The site of Kyōraishi-yashiki on the bank of the Nagare River was strategic, guarding the Kōshū-kaidō land route and the river crossing through Shimokyōraishi.
Visit Notes
There are no remains of the medieval residence, and the site is now a brownfield site and abandoned house. The ishigaki (stone wall) is modern.
