Nakagane Yashiki

History
The Nakagane-yashiki was built by the founder of the Nakagane branch of the Okudaira Clan, Okudaira Sadanao, as his residence in the early 16th century. Lord Sadanao was killed in 1556 at the battle of Amayama. Nakagane-yashiki was later the residence of Okudaira Sadatsugu.

Nakagane-yashiki is a medieval residence site in Nakagane Township, Okazaki Municipality. No ruins remain and the site is now tea fields and a temple to Kannon-bosatu (Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara) called Hōrinji.
