Nemunoki Castle (Mikawa)
From Jcastle.info
History
Nemunokijō was the fortified residence of Matsudaira Nobutaka in the early 16th century before he relocated to Mikijō. In 1547 Nobutaka supported Oda Nobuhide's intervention during the Matsudaira succession crisis of that year. A later lord of Nemunokijō was Matsudaira Kinnosuke; he supported Tokugawa Ieyasu during the Mikawa-Ikkō-Ikki uprising in 1564.
Visit Notes
Nemunokijō was a fortified residence site in Nemunoki Township, Okazaki Municipality. The site is now mixed fields and housing; no ruins remain. There is, however, a large stone stele dedicated to Matsudaira Nobutaka.
