Background

This is probably the most well preserved samurai residence in Tsuyama. The outer walls, gate, and storehouse look fantastic from the streetside. The house has been modified and significantly expanded in modern times to make it livable, but it still retains its samurai residence roots. This particular house is also in a wild location near the top of a steep hillside. You can see from the photo how it is brilliantly built going downhill along with the slope.
