Shimo Shinbee Yashiki
From Jcastle.info
History
Shimo-Shinbē-yashiki is a Sengoku period yashiki (fortified residence) site which belonged to Shimo Shinbē, a subordinate of Hara Toratane who served Takeda Shingen. He later served under Imafuku Jōkansai. He was around during the fall of the Takeda Clan but afterwards his movements are unknown, so perhaps he went into hiding. The site was excavated during the construction of a petrol station and the remains of a woman were found in a burial jar. It seems the residence was square in layout, measuring about 100m on each side.
Visit Notes
No ruins remain of Shimo-Shinbē-yashiki, and the site is now fields and a residential area.
