Watanabeshifuru Yashiki
From Jcastle.info
History
Wanabeshifuru-yashiki was the residence of Watanabe Heinaiji in the middle 14th century. Watanabe Heinaiji was a vassal of the Noda Clan and also served as a priest.
Visit Notes
The Watanabeshifuru-yashiki, or 'old residence of the Watanabe Clan', is a medieval fortified residence site in Noda Township, Shinshiro Municipality; no ruins remain, however, as the site is now a large rubber factory. Attached to the factory is a play area featuring dinosaurs (and Godzilla?) constructed out of rubber tyres. The koaza (neighbourhood name) is today called Furuyashiki ('Old Residence'), and Furuyashiki is occupied almost entirely by the factory.
